La Voix des Cimes - Ice Climbing l'Argentière la Bessée
Waiting for the big departure, let's gain some training!
Last weekend we were with the departmental teams in Argentière la Bessée for the 2016 session of the Ice Climbing Ecrins.
Put in a the same cold place hundred of young, and less young, but still vigourous climbers full of ambitions, a cauldron full of hot wine to keep their smile up and give them sharp ice axes, they'll do the rest!
After very warm weeks, the ice falls didn't had the time to shape, but the sudden inversion of temperature played in our favour. In spite of the high density of climbers, we suceeded in climbing the left "Y" route in Ceillac (in french only :p), and another one called "Easy Rider", a small but no less funky corridor of ice.
Due to the conditions and the number of folks down there, some of us decided to strenghten their biceps whit some dry tooling, and every single wall is a pretext to train! Here our guide opens a new line : "Hit the road" in M4 grade ;)
Next trip with the team is for the end of February with a big ice climbing weekend again. Still training for the big travel! See you soon and don't hesitate to contact me if you want to see the world from the tops with me! ;)
